Kuantan is the state capital of Pahang, the third largest state in Malaysia. Also, Kuantan is the ninth largest city in Malaysia. It is near the mouth of the Kuantan River and it is located roughly halfway between Singapore and Kota Bharu.
Bukit Gambang Resort City (BGRC) is one of the largest water theme park resorts in Malaysia, with 547 acres, offering a 17.1-acre lake, and a 24,000 square feet wave pool. Near the resort, there is Bukit Gambang Safari Park, the biggest safari in east coast of Peninsular Malaysia. However, if you want a natural sight, you can go to Teluk Chempedak and Batu Hitam beach. Teluk Chempedak is located about 5 kilometres from Kuantan. Meanwhile, Batu Hitam beach is about 10 km from Kuantan . Its named as "Batu Hitam" because there is a circumstance of black stones besides white sandy beach.
You can do travel through the land and air. Both East Coast Expressway and Karak Expressway connected Kuantan to Kuala Lumpur. Meanwhile, Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Airport is located 15 km from Kuantan city.
