Being the capital of South Korea, this city is also home to about 11 million of the entire country’s population. With its being an old city of 600 years of age, it offers the perfect fusion of the ancient and contemporary sides of South Korea. This is known to be the second largest in the list of cities of the country plus considered a major port city too. Busan is a city in South Korea whose former name was Pusan. It is the country’s second largest city and comes with the largest seaport. It is best known for its natural attractions that are composed of beaches along with events that are renowned to the rest of the globe like the yearly international film festival.

This is where the biggest international airport of the country can be found. Incheon is the third largest city in South Korea and also called as Inchon. It became popular for being the landing site of General Douglas MacArthur during the Korean War and renders one of ports to the west right along the Yellow Sea. It also serves as the location of the new international airport of the country made on Yeongjong Island.

This city is known for being the historical capital of the iconic Silla Kingdom. Gyeongju is a city in the Gyeongsangbuk-do province of South Korea that is also known by another name of Kyongju. It has also established itself to be the museum without walls due to the fact that it has tons of temples, tombs, pagodas, palace ruins and other historical attractions compared to any other place or region in the country.

It used to be Joseon Dynasty’s spiritual capital but now a leading arts centric city with its tons of museums, temples and monuments. Jeonju is a provincial capital of North Jeolla in South Korea and has established itself to be a popular city of agriculture for its might produce. It has been the site of many martyrs of the Roman Catholic religion during the ancient Joseon Dynasty and used to be the venue of the movement of Donghak peasants way back in 1894.

Aside from the wide array of sightseeing attractions to see in Korea, there are plenty of other things travelers should not miss. One of these is the fact that no one will ever go hungry while in Korea. Restaurants and other food spots can be found in almost every corner and it is a must try to have a taste of their tangy side dish called kimchi, the grilled bulgogi beef, the bibimbap or have a nice drink in their traditional teahouses.

Coffee Shops are also everywhere to be found and their most popular dish that is a hit both to locals and foreigners is the Korean barbecue.

Karaoke is also a popular form of how they spend their nightlife. It is the perfect activity to do especially for those who love social interactions, drinking and singing all at the same time. It often goes by the term of noraebang.

Soju is their national alcohol drink and it is compared to being similar to vodka. It is cheaper in cost but as strong as other drinks. They are usually fermented from sweet potato, corn, rice, barley, etc.
