Nightlife in Buenos Aires, Argentina

Buenos Aires in Argentina has a very active nightlife. There are numerous clubs and bars all over the city, and most of them are upscale and requires a strict dress code. The most popular ones get packed as the night goes on, so it is important to either line up early or make reservations.


MiliĆ³n is a popular nightclub in Parana. It is a renovated old 19th century mansion with beautiful candle-lit interiors. Patrons will find seating on all three levels and the garden, while the bar and restaturant are situated on the second level. It is frequented by foreigners and locals alike. Happy hour is from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. 

Opera Bay on Cecilia Grierson is another nightclub housed in a unique building. The structure's design was inspired by the shape of the Sydney Opera House, hence its name. There are different rooms playing a variety of music genres, so guests can choose where they would like to stay. It also has a good view of the Puerto Madero area. The admission fee is at 30 pesos. There is a strict dress code and patrons must not come in jeans or slippers, but office attire is acceptable.


Crobar, formerly known as Buenos Aires News, is on Avenida del Libertador in Palermo. It is a casual bar and disco that plays house, rock and Latin music. The cover charge is 35 pesos. It is open Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 9:30 PM to 7:00 AM.

Gran Bar Dazon in Libertad often has a large crowd especially on the weekends. It serves Argentine wines at reasonable prices. There is also a menu of international dishes. The dress code is casual.
