Parks in Sana'a

Currently, there aren't so many parks in Sana'a because they are under construction. However, there are still some which are nice. The Al-Sabeen Park is located right next to the al-Sabeen Square. It is a large area filled with greenery. It is the largest public park in Sana'a where many fairs and events are organized. It is a great place to spend a relaxing day and to enjoy nature. Another large park is the Attan Park. It is also filled with greenery, shrubs and trees under whose shade you can sit and just relax. It is the perfect place to take a break after a long walk. The Altawrah Park is another large park in Sana'a filled with greenery. What makes this park different by the others is its lake where you can sit and enjoy the water.

Museums in Sana'a

There are a couple of great museums in Sana'a that are a must-see. First of all, you must visit the National Museum of Yemen. In this museum, you will find over 75000 artifacts which depict the history of Sana'a as early as pre-Christianity. The artifacts are categorized into eras. The museum also has an amazing rooftop museum of the al-Tahrir Square. Another museum where you can learn more about the history of Yemen is the Military Museum. In this museum, you will see Yemeni warfare from stone tools to today's modern tools. The exhibits are divided categorized into five areas. Most of them are titled in Arabic so it would be good if you had an English translator with you. Near the al-Mutawakkil Mosque, you can find the Museum of Traditional Arts and Crafts. In here you will see costumes, jewelry, decorations and other things that depict the culture and the lifestyle of the people of Sana'a.
