Sharjah is one of the seven emirates that are part of the United Arab Emirates. It is the thirst largest one and it is the only one which has land on the Gulf of Oman and on the Persian Gulf Coast as well. It has a couple of cities and the capital city is Sharjah which has the same name as the emirate.

Get in and around Sharjah

There are a number of ways to get in Sharjah: either by plane, bus, taxi or by boat. The Emirate of Sharjah doesn't have public transport, but the city of Sharjah does. But there are also taxis or you can simply rent a car.

Explore Sharjah

Sharjah has a number of attractions which have the spirit of history. Such attractions are the Al Hisn Fort, Beit al-Naboodah, Souq al-Arsah etc. Apart from this you can also visit the King Faisal Mosque which was a gift from the Saudi Arabia king Faisal. There are a number of museums in Sharjah which have interesting and beautiful artifacts. There is also the Blue Souq which is the largest shopping centre. For the nature lovers, Sharjah has a huge Desert Park and it holds different attractions as well. And there are also the white sand and blue sea beaches. Last but not least you can get on the Eye of the Emirate and see Sharjah from a bird's view.
