Saudi Arabia: Travel/Tourist Information Guide

Saudi Arabia is a country in the Middle East which occupies the biggest territory of the Arabian peninsula and has a coastline on the Persian Gulf and the Red Sea. It borders with Jordan, Iraq, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Oman and Yemen. The capital city of Saudi Arabia is Riyadh. The holy Muslim cities of Mecca and Medina are part of Saudi Arabia. All Muslims must go on a pilgrimage at least one if possible to Mecca or Medina, whereas non-Muslims are forbidden from entering the cities.

Saudi Arabia has a lot of beautiful places to be visited. There are a lot of museums where one can see artifacts from the past and connect with the spirit of the past. There are also many world heritage sites. You can visit the Diriyah - a town which used to be the capital of the first Saudi dynasty. There is also the pre-Islamic archaeological site, Mada'in Saleh, which dates back from 1st century AD.
