Acapulco, Mexico: Accommodation

With over 30,000 hotel rooms, Acapulco has no shortage of accommodation. Depending on the season, prices will vary wildly. Peak season is from December to mid-January, July to August, and also includes the Easter week. In low season visitors have a chance to bargain for better prices, for extended stays, while package rates and booking ahead can provide good savings. Even so, Acapulco doesn’t offer too many budget lodging opportunities.


One of the top picked lodging places in Acapulco is the Quinta Real 5 star hotel. Bali Hai is a Polynesian themed motel found in close proximity to Playa Condesa and Amazing World. The Elcano is an old school themed hotel, with art deco in the lobby and a patch of beachfront.

A mid-range resort situated in the center of Acapulco Bay, the Holiday Inn Resort provides a private beach area, tour desk, a safety deposit box, sun terrace an outdoor pool as well as laundry and dry cleaning services.

Apart from the numerous hotels and resorts, Acapulco has quite a number of villas available for visitors, like Villa Regina, Villa Azul, Villa Vista Brisas and many others. Most villas offer very good living conditions, outdoor pool, and parking space, while some, like Villa Regina also have tennis courts.
