Bangalore, aka Bengaluru is a capital city of Karnataka state. Bangalore is the third largest city in India. Bangalore is the center of Indian IT industry, called Silicon Valley. It has 50 links connecting this airport with places in India and abroad. Nearly 30 airlines function there. To get to the city people can take a bus. Buses go every 15 minutes. Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) is their main operator. There's a big variety of taxis and car rentals at the airport. Train travel is rather cheap in India. The main railway station is The Bangalore City railway station. Most trains are accessible here. It is located in the city center, across the Kempegowda Bus Station. Booking can be done both at a railway station and online. Smaller and less busy terminals are Yeshwantpur Junction (Tumkur Road), Bangalore East and Bangalore Cantonment.
Kempe Gowda (Kempegowda Bus Station) is the main bus station. It connects Bangalore with most south Indian destinations. There is a wide range of private and state buses. Buses go to Mumbai, Goa, Madurai, Chennai, Mangalore, Coimbatore, Tirupati and Hyderabad.
