Getting To Tallinn

Tallinn is the capital city of Estoniaand located at the northern coast of the country near the Gulf of Finland. It has the 32% of Estonia's total population. The city was known as Reval during the 13th century. It has a lot of historic areas which are well preserved. Its Medieval Old Town is listed as UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is the city's pride. Aside from the Old Town, other attractions are the Kadriorg district which reflects Estonia during the ruling of the Russian Tsars. Estonian Open Air Museum, Estonian Maritime Museum and Tallinn Zoo are also the major attractions of Tallinn. Enjoy a lot of activities and sightseeing, bars and clubs, and day trips and outings. Tallinn is accessible by ferry, by cruise ship, by plane, by helicopter, by train and by bus. The most common ferry route is from Helsinki, Finland to Tallinn Port and approximately 2-3 hours. One of the biggest cruises in the Baltics is the Port of Tallinn.

The best way to get around the city is by foot but you can also enjoy getting around Tallin through public transport. Getting around by bus covers the whole city. There are also a lot of red colored buses which are the tourist bus tours. A tram, trolleybus, and Sight Seeing Buses network covers the city. A wide variety of cheap taxis are also available in exploring the city. One way to get around the city is renting a car to avoid traffic jams.
