The hotel is owned by Bhutan’s one of the biggest travel agencies. The hotel is nearby of Wangdicholing Palace and it offers accommodation. Jakar Village Lodge
The hotel is famous of its cuisine. It is located down a narrow village lane below the dzong. A former district administrator runs the hotel. There are fourteen rooms which are spotless and comfortable. Guests can enjoy the sunny terrace with great views over the valley and up to the dzong.
Kaila Guest house
The rooms are cosy and recently renovated. This is the closest hotel to Jakar bazaar, it is convenient for town center and NGO workers get a 20 per cent discount from here. The owner is a former cook. There is a bar where it is possible to enjoy a drink.
Mepham Guest House
The hotel is located across the river from the main bazaar and just below Lhodrak Kharchhu Goemba. The rooms are simple, there is a sunny terrace restaurant and corner rooms have views across thr valley to the dzong.
The rooms are cosy, wood-panelled located in a large two storey building that overlooks Wangdicholing Palace. There is a new deluxe block has opened that offers rooms with valley views.
Swiss Guest House
The hotel is located about the river overlooking the town and the dzong. It is surrounded by apple orchards and the hotel is beautifully decorated. In 1983, it was the first guest house in Bumthang. Rooms are spacious and warm having good beds and clean bathrooms. There is a bar that is one of the few places that is possible to get Red Panda beers.
The hotel overlooks the valley to the south of town. It offers a relaxing balcony terrace festooned with climbing flowers. Rooms are comfortable and there are some spacious corner suites.
