Entertainment in Ganja, Azerbaijan
The nightlife in Ganja is not so developed. There are a couple of clubs and cafes that you can go out at, but none of them are really exclusive. However, there are multiple teahouses which offer amazing tea in many different tastes.
Nevertheless, Ganja has a known theatre which often shows plays - the Ganja State Drama Theatre. It is a historic building which as built in the 80s. It has successfully taken part in local and international festivals. There is also the Ganja State Puppet Theatre which used to be a Lutheran Church built by the Germans.
There are also a couple of museums which often hold exhibitions, such as the Mahsati Ganjavi Museum. Mahsati Ganjavi is the first great poetess of Azerbaijan. Besides being a poetess she was also a chess player, a musician and a composer. In the centre of the museum there is an art gallery devoted to her greatest works. There is also the Monumental Complex Ganja Fortress Gates which even though it was built n 2014 it still looks as an ancient fortress. It has two towers which stand for different periods of Ganja history.
