Andorra is the smallest territory of the Catalonian countries or Paisos Catalans where Catalan is the official language. Spanish, French and Portuguese is also spoken. Andorra's monarchy is unique in that both the Andorran prince and the French President rule as co-princes. Andorra has a parliamentary system and a Prime Minister. Andorra first came into existence in the 13th century. The major cities are: Andorra la Vella, the capital city, Escaldes-Engordany, El Pas-de-la Casa, La Massana, Encamp, Sant Julia de Loria and Ordino.
