Central West Brazil: Travel/Tourist Information Guide
Brasília is located in the middle of the Brazilian highlands. It is the capital city of Brazil. The city has beautiful artistic and modernist architecture, which made it a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This can be seen in several of the city's most popular attractions including the Praça dos Três Poderes or Three Powers Square. The plaza is home to the country's three highest seats of political power: the Presidential Palace, the Congress building, and the Supreme Court building. Brasiliá's architecture and public art were also developed by famous Brazilian artists like Burle Marx, Bruno Giorgio, and Oscar Niemeyer.
